Students earning a Bachelor of Science in Materials Science and Engineering work directly with the materials they study through smelting, composite manufacturing and glassblowing labs. Undergraduates gain research experience in the University of Arizona's world-renowned centers such as the Arizona Materials Lab and the Arizona Research Institute for Solar Energy and through interdisciplinary design projects. Careers for materials science engineers are linked to every field of engineering and science.
