Students earning a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics with a Computer Science emphasis are immersed in core mathematics coursework, as well as more specialized courses focusing on the logic and concepts underpinning advances in computer science. They are required to complete a minor or second major in Computer Science, as well. This major is a natural lead-in to various graduate programs and careers in everything from mobile app creation and front- and back-end web development to machine learning and data security. Computer scientists are in high demand in both public and private sectors to conceptualize, strategize and build technology solutions.
