An emphasis in Leadership, Sustainability and Communication within the Environmental Science Bachelor of Science identifies practical and powerful ways to advocate for the environment. Students immerse themselves in environmental laws, regulations and policies. They discover how to be part of a successful response to pollution, natural resource management and climate change. Students gain a broad scientific understanding of society's influence on the planet, and learn how to interpret and clearly communicate the current environmental problems. More importantly, they learn to predict how landscapes change under the effects of climate, geology and land use, and what actionable steps are needed to create a sustainable future.
