With a BS in Biochemistry, students are able to decode the “language of life,” a skill that can lead to a career in the pharmaceutical, chemical, or food industries. It prepares you to advance in any number of career directions, from consumer products to medicinal research projects which involve synthesis of bioactive molecules, development of photoactive probes, and modeling of bio-molecules, and bring students in for opportunities to combat parasitic diseases, TB, infections in AIDS patients, sleeping sickness, and more.
