The BA in global health is a transdisciplinary degree that provides new skillsets and perspectives to understand and solve contemporary public health challenges, from the poorest nations to the most industrialized. This program yields new ways of understanding diverse cultures, places and perspectives while accounting for social, historical, biological and ecological considerations. The curriculum focuses on identifying critical issues, asking the right questions and creating meaningful and effective solutions that top health employers demand, combined with personal growth, empathy and insight gleaned through transformative hands-on experience. Students are required to participate on-ground in an approved global health study abroad program and a variety of destinations and focuses are available.
