Materials engineers are responsible for designing and developing advanced materials for a wide variety of engineering applications. Courses in the BSE program in materials science and engineering teach students about the design of materials and how to process them to improve their structure, properties and performance. Materials engineers are in demand by almost every industry, from automotive to aerospace to biomaterials to nanotechnology.
