The MSc Economics offers students rigorous training in economic theory and analytical methods to answer pressing socio-economic questions. It places much emphasis on using the appropriate theoretical framework for interpreting various current economic and financial issues. These include the economic impact of rising US trade tariffs, Brexit, shocks in exchange rates, China as an economic power, reducing poverty, and the rise in the global market power of firms.
GPA requirements may differ depending on the country you where you graduated. To study for a master's degree at the University of Liverpool, you must first complete the pre-master's courses offered by the University. Also, your study period can be extended if your English language skills are not good. Bear in mind that this program requires a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (Listening 6, Reading 6, Writing 6, Speaking 6), or a minimum TOEFL score of 88 (Listening 19, Writing 19, Reading 19, Speaking 20).
