Global and Intercultural Understanding
Discover how the world's nations are economically, politically, socially and culturally interdependent with a degree that offers a global perspective to historical and contemporary issues. Students in the Bachelor of Arts program in General Studies with a Global and Intercultural Understanding emphasis look at the interplay of customs, cultures, mores, practices, contributions and struggles of peoples around the globe. Through ethnographic accounts, students learn about ways of life across the world and gain the academic preparation needed to succeed in an increasingly global workforce. The program requires that students take at least one course outside of their own ethnic or cultural framework that focuses on a culture, society or language of a nation or region outside of the United States, Canada or Europe.
