The bachelor's degree in secondary English teacher education at KU prepares pre-service educators to teach students in 6th through 12th-grade classrooms. The program combines literature-based theory and knowledge with culturally diverse readings and discussions. In addition to the School of Education offerings, courses taught by faculty from the Department of English offer students learning options in rhetoric, linguistics, and literature.
For IB students, a completion with an overall IB score of 24 or higher or a score of 4.0 or higher for each subject is required. Moreover, an ACT score of 21 is acceptable. For Unibroad applicants, the university's application fee will be waived. Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens.
