The KU Middle-Level Mathematics teacher education program curriculum is built on the belief that it is critical for KU students to not only gain a broad-based teacher education preparation but to supplement that education with hands-on practical experience in the field
The School of Education is not currently accepting applications for admission to the middle level mathematics program. Students interested in becoming middle-level mathematics teachers are encouraged to schedule an appointment with the School of Education Advising Center to discuss other academic options. For IB students, a completion with an overall IB score of 24 or higher or a score of 4.0 or higher for each subject is required. Moreover, an ACT score of 21 is acceptable. For Unibroad applicants, the university's application fee will be waived. Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens.
