The KU Jazz Studies Program has both performance and academic components, including three big bands, seven combos, and classes in arranging, improvisation, jazz history, jazz theory and jazz pedagogy.

For IB students, a completion with an overall IB score of 24 or higher or a score of 4.0 or higher for each subject is required. Requirements may differ depending on the country you are located in. This program only accepts candidates who have completed 12 years of school education. Otherwise, you are advised to complete 1 year of Bachelor's degree in your country or choose between International Foundation and International Year One programs. Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens.
