The B.A. in biochemistry is designed for students who intend to pursue a career in medicine, dentistry, or other health-related fields. The curriculum associated with this degree program closely follows the recommendations of the American Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (ASBMB), and it prepares students to take the MCAT and DAT. To enroll in this program students need to have studied a similar course to CHem 105 which covers atomic and molecular structure, stoichiometry, solutions, physical properties of gases, liquids, and solids, chemical bonding, kinetics, thermodynamics and equilibrium, acid-base chemistry and the descriptive chemistry of the elements.

Affidavit of financial support and official bank statement required at time of application submission. SAT/ACT scores are not required for international students. However, those students seeking a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, and other physical science, must acquire a Cambridge O Level International Examination (Math) or minimum ACT Mathematics score of 25 or a minimum SAT Mathematics score of 580. Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens.
