Humanities & Culture / International Studies

Bachelor of Arts

The B.A. in international studies has an interdisciplinary curriculum that focuses on the connections between politics, economics, and culture at the international level, providing students with an understanding of how the contemporary world works and with the tools to succeed in it. In addition to a regional concentration (East Asia, Europe, Latin America, or Middle East), Croft students select a thematic concentration: global economics and business, global health, international governance and politics, or social and cultural identity. Croft students pursue advanced proficiency in a foreign language as an integral part of their studies. Accelerated language programs are currently available in Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Korean, Russian, and Spanish. Students may also choose to study Italian, Japanese, and Portuguese.

Affidavit of financial support and official bank statement required at time of application submission. SAT/ACT scores are not required for international students. However, those students seeking a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, and other physical science, must acquire a Cambridge O Level International Examination (Math) or minimum ACT Mathematics score of 25 or a minimum SAT Mathematics score of 580. Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens.
