Economics provides a broad and systematic way of thinking about social, financial, and business problems. The B.A. in economics prepares a graduate for many positions in business and government. Some positions are economic analyst, statistician, and research assistant. The B.S. in economics will require 42 hours of course work, including Econ 202, 203, 398, 399, 402, 403, and 24 hours of economics courses at the 300 level or above, six of which must be at the 500 level. Students must also complete Math 261 or 271; 262, and 375. (Math 267, 268 may not be substituted.)



Affidavit of financial support and official bank statement required at time of application submission. SAT/ACT scores are not required for international students. However, those students seeking a degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Chemistry, and other physical science, must acquire a Cambridge O Level International Examination (Math) or minimum ACT Mathematics score of 25 or a minimum SAT Mathematics score of 580. Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens.
