The major research divisions and training programs of the Department are: Cardiovascular Science and Disease Endocrinology & Metabolic Disease Neurosciences and Spinal Cord Injury Respiratory Physiology and Disease In addition to laboratory-based research training, the graduate program consists of basic courses in physiology, cell biology, molecular biology, and electronics for scientists, as well as numerous specialty courses designed to meet the needs of students in each of the major Divisions of the Department.
