Agriscience education is the preparation of teachers and other professionals to educate middle and high school students and adults in agriculture. With a major in agriscience education, you’ll take the coursework, examinations and field classes required to become certified to teach in the K-12 public school system. Many alumni of this program go on to teach at the K-12 level, while others work with producers and communities through agricultural extension systems. Our program in animal sciences will prepare you for a career in veterinary medicine, medicine, equine science, food safety, animal and allied industries and related areas. This program provides 4 emphases: The Pre-Vet/Pre-Professional, Animal and Allied Industries, Equine Science and Meat Science. The Pre-Vet/Pre-Professional option will provide you with a foundation in the biological and physical sciences for careers in emerging areas of animal biotechnology while satisfying requirements for application to Auburn’s College of Veterinary Medicine, other professional schools or graduate school.

Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens. SAT or ACT is required. Moreover, a proof of financial support for themselves AND their dependents, which covers the cost of tuition, fees, housing, food, books, supplies, personal items, transportation and health insurance for a minimum of 9 months is required for the admission.
