The three formal options within the Organismal Biology major at Auburn University allow students to specialize in various ways, while focusing on the study of plants or animals through the choice of elective courses. The major provides a solid foundation for pursuing graduate degrees (M.S. or Ph.D.) in biological fields, but also prepares students for a wide range of laboratory and field-based research positions in environmental resource assessment, management and conservation within federal, state and private agencies or organizations.The program is designed to provide students with a solid foundation in biology. This program focuses on conservation and provides a strong preparation for further study in graduate programs or in professional schools, including medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine and other allied health fields.



Please, bear in mind that this program isn’t offered for Russian and Azerbaijani citizens. SAT or ACT is required. Moreover, a proof of financial support for themselves AND their dependents, which covers the cost of tuition, fees, housing, food, books, supplies, personal items, transportation and health insurance for a minimum of 9 months is required for the admission.
