The Chinese Studies program focuses on developing your ability to speak Mandarin Chinese and understand Chinese society and culture. Having the ability to speak and understand Chinese will make you a marketable candidate in a variety of professional fields, such as business, consulting or politics. As a Chinese Studies major, you’ll have the opportunity to participate in one of DePaul’s Study Abroad programs in Beijing, Hong Kong or Shanghai, where you’ll experience and immerse yourself in Chinese language and culture.
This major has a bachelor's/law degree option. Requirements may differ depending on the country you are located in.A non-refundable application fee of 40 USD is required. A minimum score of 540 from SAT reading and writing section is required. As an alternative, minimum reading score of 18 and English score of 20 from ACT is required. Pricing is subject to change.
