The undergraduate bachelor of arts (B.A.) degree in sociology requires the completion of a total of 120 credit hours. Students may opt for either a general degree in sociology or a concentration in criminology. Criminology is the study of the nature and causes of crime, patterns of crime, and the social control of criminal behavior.
