When you decide to major in music management, you have the desire to pursue a strong musical and business course of study. Playing a musical instrument or being a vocalist is required for entrance to the program. This can include classical instruments or classical voice, jazz instruments or voice, or commercial instruments (bass, drums, guitar, keyboard, or voice.) You will receive training in music theory, piano and keyboard, and music history, as well as weekly one hour lessons and coaching sessions with teachers in the performance area. This combined with arts management and business courses give you the career ready skills to enter the industry.

A non-refundable application fee of 30 USD is required. Half of applicants admitted to the University of Hartford have an SAT score between 1030 and 1230.
