LIU is the first university to offer a fully accredited social work program in Brooklyn on both the undergraduate and the graduate level. The department’s Common Ground Service Learning Program provides students from all disciplines with the opportunity to gain valuable volunteer experience in a wide range of service venues throughout the greater New York area.
