Students begin their internship experience at Hofstra’s Counseling and Mental Health Professions Clinic, located on campus in the Saltzman Center. Following this experience, students are placed in off-campus clinical settings, which have been approved by the Marriage and Family Therapy program. During this portion of their training, students receive weekly individual supervision of their clinical work at their internship site, as well as group supervision on campus. Client-contact hours accrued by students during their internships count toward the total client contact hours required for licensure.
