A rehabilitation counselor is a counselor who possesses the specialized knowledge, skills, and attitudes needed to collaborate in a professional relationship with persons with disabilities to achieve their personal, social, and psychological independence. These behavioral health programs include specialty courses by which students prepare for working in mental health and other specialized settings.
