Department of International Relations is one of the leading education and research centers in our country, combining applied policy-making with academic knowledge. Our mission is to provide our students with a strong international and comparative perspective on the contemporary global system, to encourage them to think analytically about complex global issues, and to make them aware of the workings of different political systems. In our department that provides education in English, a second foreign language education is also compulsory. At the Department of International Relations, which offers first-class education in line with international standards, we believe that international relations should be examined interactively through current events. For this reason, our department provides education in a collaborative environment with the world of politics; It carries out Our mission is to provide our students with a strong international and comparative perspective on the contemporary global system, to encourage them to think analytically about complex global issues, and to make them aware of the workings of different political systems. In our department that provides education in English, a second foreign language education is also compulsory. All of our faculty members have received their doctorate and other postgraduate degrees from reputable universities in the USA and Europe. In addition, our academic staff, which includes many international faculty members, has education and research experience in prestigious universities abroad and prestigious institutions in Turkey. The research areas and expertise of our faculty members correspond to different fields in international relations. Our department offers a wide range of courses including International Relations Theory, International Law, Foreign Policy Analysis and Turkish Foreign Policy. It also offers specialist courses on Leadership, International Migration, Political Institutions, Peace, Conflict and Security Studies, as well as field studies courses on the European Union, Russia, the Middle East and Africa.
