Community Education (CE) embraces youth work, adult and family learning, and community development. CE professionals are committed to social justice, working to develop a range of learning and development opportunities determined by personal, social, economic and political needs. As part of this course you will undertake placements in community organisations for a large part of your learning, where you can engage with individuals and groups to help promote and implement positive social change. You will be encouraged to undertake an in-depth analysis of social justice, equalities, political perspectives, values, and socio-economic trends, while also enhancing your critical thinking and reflection.
