Master of Applied Science
As part of Illinois Institute of Technology’s mission to provide a distinctive and relevant education that focuses on preparing its students for careers that contribute to solving important problems facing humanity, the Department of Biomedical Engineering is now offering the Master of Science in Biomedical Data Science and Modeling program. This program will provide the training relevant for professional employment in computational biomedical engineering. Special emphasis is placed on the principles of mathematical modeling, machine learning, biostatistics, and bioinformatics. The program will prepare students to be able to identify problems related to mathematical modeling, to carry out statistical analyses of biomedical data, to implement machine-learning methods for biomedical applications, and to solve biomedical engineering problems in bioinformatics. Aligning with two of Illinois Tech’s university-wide research initiatives—Computation and Data, and Health and Wellness—the biomedical data science and modeling program will provide its graduates with the fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience needed to thrive in the ever-evolving and fast-growing biomedical engineering field. The Master of Chemical Engineering offers students in-depth knowledge of the newest and most important chemical engineering topics, while preparing students to make significant contributions and work in areas of high-impact innovation such as thermodynamics, transport phenomena, kinetics, and applied mathematics.
Unibroad also offers a Pre-Master's program for the candidates not eligible for this course. There is special Unibroad scholarship offered at this university.
