The BSc (Hons) Midwifery course aims to: Develop midwives who meet the Standards of proficiency for midwives (NMC 2019) and become eligible for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC). Develop midwives who will act as leaders and change agents, aware of the significance of innovation, creativity and best available evidence in the evaluation and development of woman-centred care and the maternity services. Promote collaborative working with service users, interdisciplinary and multiagency teams in contemporary midwifery practice. Develop midwives who recognise their own strengths and exercise responsibility for their own professional and career development.
