Radiation therapy technologists are involved in direct patient care. Under the supervision of radiation oncologists, they use high energy X-rays, electron beams or radioactive isotopes to kill cancer cells. Radiation therapists must be able to interact compassionately and effectively with people who range from healthy to terminally ill. This is a 3+1 program in which the first three years of course work are completed at Roosevelt University with the final year completed at Northwestern Memorial Hospital.

The minimum score required is 6.5 with no band score below 6.0, to include a score of 6.5 or higher on the Academic Writing Band. Internet-based Exam | The minimum score is 80, with no section scores below 17 and a score of 18 or higher on the Writing section (a score of 22 or higher on the Writing section is required for graduate students). Paper-based Exam | The minimum score is 550, with a score of 4.5 or higher on the Writing section. Students with scores below the identified minimums may be eligible for admission to Roosevelt University. Also, some programs require higher subset scores. Please check with your Admission Counselor.
