The Political Science BA/ MPA program allows undergraduate students to start earning credits toward their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree by taking graduate level courses during the completion of their undergraduate Political Science BA. This accelerated program allows Roosevelt undergraduate students concerned about the time and cost of obtaining a graduate degree to reduce both by participating in a joint program. The program allows students to take three graduate-level courses as part of their undergraduate degrees. Once students are admitted to the MPA, the courses will also apply toward completion of the MPA degree. In addition to saving time and money, the joint Political Science BA/MPA makes the graduate an attractive potential employee. This joint degree provides the student knowledge and skills in both a specific occupational area and public sector management processes. Government organizations and nonprofit organizations are major employers of Political Science majors and MPA graduates.

The minimum score required is 6.5 with no band score below 6.0, to include a score of 6.5 or higher on the Academic Writing Band. Internet-based Exam | The minimum score is 80, with no section scores below 17 and a score of 18 or higher on the Writing section (a score of 22 or higher on the Writing section is required for graduate students). Paper-based Exam | The minimum score is 550, with a score of 4.5 or higher on the Writing section. Students with scores below the identified minimums may be eligible for admission to Roosevelt University. Also, some programs require higher subset scores. Please check with your Admission Counselor.
