Bachelor of Arts and Master of Public Administration
Roosevelt undergraduate students concerned about the time and cost of obtaining a graduate degree can reduce both by participating in a joint program. This program allows undergraduate students to start on their MPA degrees by taking graduate level courses during the completion of their undergraduate Sustainability BA. Sustainability majors in the College of Arts and Sciences can participate in this accelerated program leading to a BA in Sustainability and a Master of Public Administration degree. The program allows students to take three graduate-level courses as part of their undergraduate degrees. Once students are admitted to the MPA, the courses will apply toward completion of the MPA degree. This joint degree provides the student knowledges and skills in both a specific occupational area and public sector management processes. Government and nonprofit organizations are major employers of sustainability majors. The joint Sustainability BA/MPA makes the graduate an attractive potential employee.
