Bachelor of Science in Prosthetics and Orthotics
Prosthetists and orthotists analyse individuals’ need of and provide externally applied devices used to compensate for impairments of the structure and function of the neuromuscular and skeletal systems. This requires combining medical, biomechanical and engineering knowledge and skills, in interaction with the device user and other health professions. The programme integrates these fields with evidencebased practice to increase quality of life for people. The students will integrate and apply theory and practical exercises in the student clinic on campus, along with clinical internships and a major thesis project.
