A bachelor's degree in Speech Language Disabilities or in Speech and Hearing Science prepares you for graduate study for a highly rewarding career in an allied health profession. Either major will prepare you for advanced study to become a speech language pathologist or an audiologist. Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology are among the fastest-growing professions in the United States. The course of study, which is aligned with the American Speech and Hearing Association, will teach you foundational information related to communication disorders as well as about the special populations we serve. Students in the CSD program will learn diagnostics, assessment, intervention, and treatment for individuals with a variety of communication difficulties. Starting in your junior year, you will have the opportunity to gain clinical experience in our on-campus Speech and Hearing Clinic under the supervision of faculty licensed in Speech Language Pathology and Audiology.
