The Bachelor of Music degree with the concentration in Music Education is designed to prepare students for teaching careers in New Jersey’s public schools, as well as community music schools and private or out-of-state schools. Students who wish to pursue P-12 teacher certification in Music must apply to and be admitted to the Teacher Education Program. The Jazz Studies program offers training and extensive performance opportunities in both traditional and contemporary jazz styles. It provides a solid foundation in performance and history that will allow students to enter the professional music world or pursue advanced study. The Cali School Jazz Studies program provides creative and innovative training in all styles of jazz for undergraduate students who wish to become jazz professionals.
