The Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Theatre Studies offers a comprehensive and individualized theatre education, supported by a broad and meaningful liberal arts curriculum. As a Theatre Studies major, you will have the opportunity to explore all aspects of the business and practice of theatre, including playwriting for stateand screen, dramaturgy and script analysis, stage management, play direction and all aspects of production operations. B.A. in Theatre Studies program fosters enough flexibility for students to have full access to a wide range of on- and off-campus opportunities. The option of receiving a teaching certification is unique and exclusive to B.A. students as is out 4 + 1 program, which allows students to earn an MA with one additional year of study. Theatre Studies students participate in the departmental season as assistant directors, dramaturgs, and technicians and also develop collaborative projects on campus and beyond.
