Applied Mathematics and Statistics focuses on the study and development of mathematical disciplines. These disciplines are then applied to present real-world problems. Students have opportunities to perform research in the assorted branches of modern applied mathematics, such as: Data-Driven Analysis, Financial Mathematics, Fluid Mechanics, Mathematical Biology, Nonlinear Dynamical Systems, Scientific Computing, and Statistics. Unless otherwise noted, 120 credits of coursework is required for the baccalaureate degree with a minimum 2.0 overall GPA, and a minimum 2.0 major GPA.
