Public and Professional Writing students learn about the various forms of writing that they are likely to encounter in their careers and how to adapt their writing for different audiences and purposes. Because all professional fields require some form of writing, the Professional and Public Writing minor is the perfect complement to any major. Through the minor, students will create professional documents, including proposals, reports, presentations, websites, client correspondence and digital media. With experience in professional writing, students will position themselves as people who understand the complexities of writing in the 21st century. This minor provides excellent preparation for careers in many fields, including business, government, education and nonprofit work.
